TCab Tech is pleased to announce the successful delivery of the first avionics display system for the E20 eVTOL aircraft from the AVIC Computer Research Institute.
Designed around the unique operational profile of eVTOL aircraft, the display system is a core element of the E20’s all-digital cockpit. Replacing traditional mechanical instruments with touchscreen LCDs, it greatly enhances pilot situational awareness and human-machine interaction.
The Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multi-Function Display (MFD) operate in tandem on a high-performance processing platform, supporting multi-touch input, high-resolution graphics, and fast response times—delivering a smooth and intuitive user experience.
To ensure operational safety, the system features a dual-redundant architecture. If one unit fails, the other automatically takes over full functionality, ensuring continuous access to critical flight data.
The display system demonstrated excellent performance during validation testing, showcasing superior integration, usability, and fault tolerance. Its design strictly follows safety-critical principles and meets applicable airworthiness standards.
The E20 is a five-seat tiltrotor eVTOL independently developed by TCab Tech. Combining vertical takeoff and landing with high-speed cruise, low noise, and enhanced safety, the E20 is designed to deliver efficient and scalable solutions for urban and regional air mobility. The delivery of the display system represents a meaningful step forward in both the development and certification of the E20 eVTOL program.
