Assembly Engineer (Tooling & Fixture Design)

Responsibilities

1.Responsible for the analysis and validation of the overall structural manufacturing process plan, including manufacturability, maintainability/accessibility, and manufacturing cost control.

2.Review and approve the design concepts for tooling and fixtures used in the full aircraft structure.

3.Coordinate with and manage manufacturing suppliers to ensure that the aircraft manufacturing and quality inspection systems, processes, in-process controls, documentation, and deliveries comply with requirements.

4.Liaise with manufacturing suppliers to review and coordinate the resolution of various issues arising during tooling/fixture design and manufacturing, as well as aircraft part fabrication and assembly, ensuring conformity between manufacturing and design.

5.Responsible for the design and selection of various auxiliary equipment and tools required for aircraft final assembly, flight test modifications, and maintenance, oversee and guide on-site assembly and modification activities.

Requirements

1.5+ years of experience in aircraft manufacturing process engineering (familiarity with manufacturing airworthiness compliance for general aviation aircraft or ton-class UAVs is preferred).

2.Bachelor’s degree or above from a 985/211 university in Aircraft Manufacturing, Composite Materials Processing, Mechanical Manufacturing, or related fields.

3.Proficient in using 3D software for ergonomic simulation, tooling and fixture design, etc.

4.Strong communication and supplier management skills, with extensive experience in manufacturing site management and problem-solving.

5.Strong self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
