In October 2026, TCab Tech advanced its expansion in Malaysia through a series of activities highlighting the E20 eVTOL’s technological capabilities and commercial potential. Through product showcases, strategic partnerships and industry engagement, the company strengthened its connections with local stakeholders, expanded its presence in the Malaysian market and laid a stronger foundation for future commercialisation and long-term growth across Southeast Asia.

The month-long E20 eVTOL showcase opened on 9 October at IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, Malaysia, under the theme “Malaysian Engineers, Global Impact,” marking the aircraft’s first public appearance in Malaysia. Running from 9 October to 9 November 2026, the showcase offers visitors an opportunity to see the aircraft up close, take part in scheduled cabin visits and learn about its potential uses.

At the opening event, TCab Tech and the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC) exchanged a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore E20 eVTOL commercialisation pathways and support the development of Malaysia’s Low Altitude Economy ecosystem. Under the MoU, TCab Tech will contribute its expertise in eVTOL research, development and manufacturing, while SIDEC will leverage its local industry networks and coordination capabilities to facilitate engagement with relevant government agencies, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) and industry stakeholders, supporting the E20’s future certification and commercialisation in Malaysia.

From 14 to 17 October 2026, TCab Tech participated in the Selangor AI & Semiconductor Summit (AiSEM@Selangor 2026) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, engaging with companies and organisations working in artificial intelligence, intelligent mobility and other emerging technologies.

During the summit, TCab Tech Founder and CEO Ng Yon Wui joined the panel discussion “The Rise of Autonomous Machines — Powering Robotics, Drones & Intelligent Mobility,” alongside speakers from autonomous driving, drones and related fields. The discussion explored developments in autonomous technologies and opportunities for cross-industry collaboration, providing a platform for TCab Tech to exchange perspectives with Malaysia’s technology community.

The advancement of the eVTOL industry requires not only innovation in aircraft technology but also close collaboration across aerospace manufacturing, intelligent technologies, infrastructure and operational services. As an eVTOL aircraft manufacturer, TCab Tech is committed to advancing its core technologies while fostering partnerships across the industry value chain and beyond. Its participation in AiSEM@Selangor 2026 further strengthened its engagement with Malaysia’s technology ecosystem, creating opportunities for cross-industry collaboration, resource integration and the development of future applications to support the E20 eVTOL’s long-term commercialisation across Southeast Asia.

On 13 October 2026, TCab Tech Founder and CEO Ng Yon Wui visited the University College of Aviation and Innovation Malaysia (UniCAM), where he shared insights from his extensive experience in aviation engineering and entrepreneurship. Engaging with students, he discussed aviation industry trends, professional skills development and career opportunities in emerging aviation technologies, encouraging the next generation of aviation professionals to explore technological innovation and strengthen their expertise through education and practical experience.

As the eVTOL industry progresses towards commercialisation, developing a skilled workforce in areas such as piloting, aircraft maintenance and flight operations will be essential to supporting future large-scale operations. The visit further strengthened TCab Tech’s engagement with Malaysia’s aviation education sector and created opportunities to better align talent development with evolving industry needs. TCab Tech will continue exploring collaboration with local aviation institutions and industry partners to support aviation talent development and build a foundation for the E20 eVTOL’s long-term commercialisation and growth across Southeast Asia.

Throughout the series of activities, TCab Tech attracted extensive attention from Malaysian and international media. Leading Malaysian news outlets, including BERNAMA, Nanyang Siang Pau, Sin Chew Daily, Oriental Daily News, Malaysiakini, The Star, Astro AWANI and The Edge Malaysia, alongside aviation and technology publications such as AeroTime, Advanced Air Mobility International and Digital News Asia, covered the E20 eVTOL and TCab Tech’s activities in Malaysia. Together, the series of activities generated hundreds of millions of media impressions, significantly expanding TCab Tech’s brand visibility and reach across international audiences.

The widespread media attention and positive response highlighted the E20 eVTOL’s product appeal and potential in international markets, while further strengthening TCab Tech’s brand presence and competitive positioning in the global eVTOL industry.

Building on growing market awareness and an expanding network of industry partnerships, TCab Tech will continue advancing its global expansion strategy and deepening its presence across Southeast Asia. By strengthening engagement with government agencies, industry partners across the value chain and prospective operators, the company aims to connect industry resources, potential applications and market demand to accelerate the E20 eVTOL’s commercialisation in international markets and progressively build a global ecosystem to support passenger eVTOL commercialisation.

About TCab Tech

TCab Tech is a leading innovative enterprise specializing in the development of eVTOL aircraft. Founded by a group of engineers dedicated to making AAM a reality, we are committed to building a reliable air mobility ecosystem that enables low-emission aerial ridesharing for the public. We envision a future where Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) transforms daily commutes, giving people more time to spend with their loved ones.

We are developing the E20, a passenger-carrying, vectored-thrust eVTOL, by integrating proven aviation technologies, advanced electrification, and intelligent algorithms.

The name “TCab” is a metaphor for “time taxi,” reflecting our mission to offer the public an affordable and time-efficient means of transportation — and above all, to make the joy of flight accessible to everyone.
